Hi, I am Elena, welcome to my blog!
Here you will find posts about ethical fashion, sustainable living and tips on how to lead a more eco-friendly life.
I am lucky enough to live on a farm near London but I was born and raised in Athens. Since I moved to the UK thirteen years ago, I became a personal stylist and learned at first hand about the harmful aspects of the fashion and beauty industry.
To share my interest in sustainable living and my journey to a less impactful lifestyle I created this Blog as a platform for promoting an alternative approach to our fast-paced, consumerism-based living.
My posts will focus mainly on:
Sustainable Living and ways we can reduce our impact on the environment by using less natural resources and supporting the circular economy business models.
Sustainable Fashion by raising awareness about the negative effects of fast fashion causes on the planet and its resources, tips on how to extend the life of our clothes and promoting ethical fashion brands that are transparent about who made their clothes.
I will also share interesting Events, People and Technology news that I think are exciting and innovating.
Over the past five years, I’ve built a successful personal styling business offering Wardrobe Detox Services helping local women to streamline their wardrobe and re-discover their clothes.
I am a current member of FIPI (Federation of Image Professionals International) a professional organisation setting the high standards for the Image and Style industry. FIPI’s members specialise in Image Consultancy, Personal Styling, Personal and Corporate Branding, Communications and Image Coaching. I have also been the organisation’s Events Director from 2015 to 2017.
To help prevent textile pollution I regularly host the WALK IN WARDROBE™ Surrey events, a unique pop-up clothes shop/swap that gives preloved garments a second chance and helps to raise awareness for slow fashion in a very practical and fun way.
Together we can take the time to educate ourselves to become more conscious and conscientious about our lifestyle choices.
